I read this one a long time ago so I can't remember it very well, it was about two guys with an age gap, one was in highschool and the other was a working adult I thinkk
They met each other in a somewhat awkward way(?) by finding out about each others shared, peculiar interest in low-budget/poorly-made (horror?) films
and then the story slowly unravels that they have feelings for each other
I know it's not much to go on, but any guesses would help (T^T)
A yaoi manga and mc is a delinquent or gang member i think who loves action movies. There is this one movie he really loves where the character sacrifices his life for his ‘aniki’ and mc thought it was a noble sacrifice (other people or gang members i think knows that it was because the character loved the aniki). It was only after doing stuff with ml he realized that it wasn’t because of ‘loyalty’ but because the character loves the aniki. There was a line that mc says “(character name) you traitor”. Ok so i read this YEARS ago. The protagonist is a high school student and I think she was adopted (not important) she is afraid of guys for some reason, has a group of friends, amongst them there is a pretty girl who is always serious and doesnt express feelings, this girl was in love with the main male character (uno-kun) I think but settles with the guff best friend of the ML (male lead). Among the girl group there is also a chubby one that gets with the pretty face/shy boy. The FL(female lead) is attracted to ML bc unlike other boys he smells good and isnt a pig basically. He had an ex who was pretty and all and they broke up bc she cheated but later try to get together with him while he and FL were getting to know each other. I think FL has short brown hair and male lead is blond, not sure. Does anyone remember this manga ?

The whole time, the monwoo was scared of losing his control, giving in to his inhibitions, and what not. So much so that he starts to distance himself from Taegyul in fear of hurting him. I think it would've been so much better for the story, and their developing relationship, had he been able to resist the heat-inflicted taegyul. It would've been a testament to his growth or even love for taegyul, had he been able to hold himself back and give him the heat medicine. And while he does come back to himself, mid-fuck, it only occurs after hurting taegyul, not even, after taegyul communicates that he was hurting him.
And it's like he evidently knows enough about the traits, to have known that taegyul was not in the best state of mind. That he was acting partly on instinct, the same instinct that has monwoon in a state of worry, not for himself but those around him.
In that moment, he acts on "goodwill" and with the "assurance" of taegyul. But in a real setting, there's a possibility of that behavior leading to problems down the road—where monwoo perceives his actions as ones that come from a place of reason or for the sake of taegyul.
But that's just an analysis, a manhwa analysis.

I dont even like the main couple, second couple is so much more dramatic, more love, depth, character development, trauma, runaway bottom, it has it all for a main story, the current one feels like the secondary lol. I speedrun all the main couple story just to get to see my boy Jintae
oddly enough, however, despite the plotline(s) that never felt really 'introduced' nor completely resolved (though wasn't uninteresting and could have worked well as such if given more time to develop alongside the couple plot), the pair itself was enjoyable, had good chemistry, and were just cute overall. it very much had a feel of 'this is about the couple; other stuff is going on but not important, cause couple'. i don't have any issue with those, but the seeming (purposefully vague?) external events weren't implemented very well just within themselves, not only in how it was integrated with the 'main storyline(?)' of the couple.
i don't know; who does? in the end, there was a lot of cuteness there nonetheless ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Since I was already familiar with this author’s writing I thought it was going to be another playful story about youthful mischief and all that but the more I read and the further I got into the story the more I realized how wrong I was
The way the characters were written was incredible
At first the bottom looks like one of those nerdy dumbasses but honestly I don’t see him that way at all He’s become one of my favorite bottoms in all of fiction
Even though he’s really emotional and soft he can absolutely stand up for himself when he needs to and he knows what he wants
And the top oh my god he was incredible He started out as this playful reckless scumbag and by the end he had basically become a completely different person and it was honestly amazing
It wasn’t like he just went to sleep one night and woke up the next morning as a supportive angel instead of an asshole
You could actually see him changing and growing little by little with every chapter and that was genuinely amazing
If I could give this author an award I’d honestly give them a special award just for writing this character
Another thing I really loved was the bottom’s best friend
Even though he loved him so much when he realized the bottom didn’t feel the same way he didn’t get weird about it or force himself onto him or start acting crazy Instead he respected his feelings and preferences and became genuinely supportive of him and I thought that was really beautiful
And the fact that their friendship continued after that too was honestly amazing
I fucking love this manhwa I’d die for it
From the plot, smut, art to their face cards! I'm still happy that they were able to convey their feelings in the side stories.
The revolutionary act plot reminds me of one of my favorite BLs- A Painter Behind the Curtain- but this one has a happy ending and is more complicated.
Highly recommended
