I've been reading chinese bl novels for a while now but wtf is wrong with their beauty descriptions?!?! The "white porcelain skin/skin so pale it's transparent" or always milky smelling shou, not too muscular/slim waist and ofcourse the no body hair bs. Like I would understand and ignore if it was mentioned once or twice, but no. it's every damn time shou comes into the scene and author has to keeps repeating it. I am reading, enjoying the chemistry and randomly get an ick so strong I physically recoil.

I remember the FL almost committed suicide before realizing that she had been reincarnated into a game. Her family treated their adopted daughter much better than they treated her, and I vaguely remember the FL even trying to imitate the adopted daughter’s appearance. I think she wore wigs or changed her hair so that it would look like the adopted daughter’s.
I also remember reading a spoiler saying that the family only loved the adopted daughter because of some kind of condition or curse possibly something related to them becoming sick if they didn’t love her? I’m not completely sure about this part, though.

mmm.. can I even ask about this? there's certain yaoi/Shounen ai manga that I search desperately.. like it's historical, and your typical Isekai historical and then uh got into academy and stuff. but there's this interesting dynamic of where the mc tried to fill "mother figure" role of the ml. anddd uhhh the ml is kinda yandere ish, your typical with mc acts clingy and with others act differently and rude. and all I could remember is like the ml acts like nagi seishiro from blue lock. (lazy and stuff)

And if we met him in the second life we see him before he is broken bc of war, and before he loses his family. The ML shone bright during those times. Bc the FL changes the fate of his sister, it also changes the fate of his brother and his mother. Bc of these small changes, even though the war broke him, this time he wasn't completely broken beyond repair and he also has the FL , so he has all the support system to help him with his trauma bc of war. Yes, the ML was so frustrating cause of the lack of communication, self-loathing, and self-pity, but we need to understand that for a perfectly healthy man to become limp, get a huge burn scar on his face, and face the trauma of war is not really easy to overcome.
It's not the FL's responsibility to take care of him, but the healthy and more understanding approach of the FL in the second life helps him. It's normal to hate the ML, but I just think both of these characters deserve love and understanding. Maybe I just kind of understand the ML I have low self esteem and it's easy to overthink about things but instead of listening to those voices in his head ML still tried to be rational when it comes to the FL. The prison part I know some just can't comprehend why would ML act like the FL betrayed him but in my understanding he felt responsible for the FL going to prison since it was his sister's fault and also he doesn't want FL to even stay in prison but the fact that she's too nice to really lie about the whole thing and would rather go to prison prob makes the ML miserable about the whole thing, and maybe he kinds of hated the FL for her decisions.
Also, I see ppl hating on the FL for being naive but FL was a noble woman who is sheltered with little to no rights to really do anything with her life and she's a brave woman for overcoming her fear and uncertainty to do things on her own, it's not easy to leave your comfort zone but she did and she did not just help herself but also help everyone around her especially the ML.
Just like My Beloved Oppressor, I don't recommend this manhwa to anyone who can't read the nuances of the story.
PS. You might not agree with me but this is just my personal take about this manhwa. I am yapping, so my thoughts are incomprehensible.
